Hike Report: The Snow Lake Trail starts across the Alpental's ski area road from the privy. Please note that the snow bank is about 10 feet tall. There are several places where people find their way up the bank and snowshoe back in that area. This is avelanche season and you should not go past the area where the talus fall (rock fields) are.  The cliffs above shed lots of snow and that can and does start avelanches.

How to get there: From Seattle, drive I-90 to Exit 52. It is at the top of Snoqualmie Pass – the home of many ski areas. Turn left under the freeway. Follow Road 9040 to Alpental Ski area P/L. The trail starts at the northeast edge of the lot across the road from the privy. Be sure and sign in and wear the USFS tag. FYI—at the top of the ridge you will find a sign indicating that you are entering the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area.
